My well dressed kids

A couple weeks ago it was "Fancy Party" day at Story Hour.  I told the kids that they were supposed to dress up for story hour and of course... well let's just say that dress codes are uniquely interpreted in this house.

To Vivi it meant a princess dress, funky tights, pretty pony tail and cowboy boots on the wrong feet... not to mention training underwear worn OVER the tights.  Yeah.  That's how she rolls.

Aidan had a different take on the situation.  He picked a nice button down shirt, a pair of khaki cargo pants... and then he added one of his dad's ties and a wrist band.. trying to "punk it up" a bit.

Oh.  And don't forget the red rubber boots.

I don't attempt too much to influence their style.  Especially not on dress-up day at the library.  Because if a young person is going to make a fashion statement anywhere, the library is as good a place as any.

Well.  That and it gives me something to blog about, lol!

  4. At least she's not wearing plaid, polk-dots and argyle socks. That tends to be shocking - ask me how I'd know :) My Grandma always told me I must have some Gypsy in me with the combos I came up with! :)
